VOLUNTEER!

Learning in Retirement is a volunteer organization. That means its success depends on you contributing your talents and skills, whatever they may be.

For example, if you like to travel and you have ideas of places you’d like to visit, you may want to volunteer for the LIR Travel Committee. Or, you may like to play cards. LIR has six card clubs and is always open to new card games. Facilitators are frequently needed for these games, so your participation would be appreciated there.

LIR has 10 other clubs that may catch your attention, and if a topic interests you that you would like to learn more about, join the Curriculum Committee and help plan some classes.

If you want to be active but prefer to work behind the scenes, you may want to volunteer for the Membership & Marketing Committee, the Hospitality Committee, and/or member registration at the meetings.

Volunteers are always needed and appreciated.

Along the way, you will make many good friends. Learning in Retirement has something for everyone!
